Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices artisanal bread sourdough or multigrain recommended
  • 2 oz Gruyère cheese sliced or shredded
  • 2 oz sharp cheddar cheese sliced or shredded
  • 2 oz creamy goat cheese softened
  • 1 ripe avocado sliced
  • 2-3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • Balsamic glaze for drizzling
  • Freshly ground black pepper optional

Prepare Ingredients
  1. Slice Gruyère and cheddar. Soften goat cheese.
  2. Peel, pit, and slice the avocado.
  3. Lay out bread slices on a cutting board.
Assemble Sandwiches
  1. Spread goat cheese evenly on two slices of bread.
  2. Top with Gruyère and cheddar.
  3. Layer avocado slices over the cheese. Sprinkle with black pepper if desired.
  4. Place remaining bread slices on top to form sandwiches.
  5. Brush with Olive Oil
  6. Pour olive oil into a small bowl.
  7. Brush the outside of each sandwich (both sides) with olive oil instead of butter for a crisp, flavorful crust.
Air Fry
  1. Preheat air fryer to 370°F (188°C).
  2. Place sandwiches in the air fryer basket in a single layer (work in batches if needed).
  3. Air fry for 4 minutes per side, flipping halfway through, until bread is golden and cheese is melted.
Finish and Serve
  1. Remove sandwiches with tongs or a spatula.
  2. Let cool slightly, then slice in half.
  3. Drizzle with balsamic glaze just before serving.
