En grandissant en banlieue, partir en ville \u00e9tait toujours une grande aventure, prenant g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement au moins une heure et impliquant plusieurs bus, trains et lignes de m\u00e9tro. Mais mon ami Stephen et moi n&#8217;y voyions aucun inconv\u00e9nient. Nous savions ce qui nous attendait.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#wprm-recipe-container-28911\" data-recipe=\"28911\" style=\"color: #333333;\" class=\"wprm-recipe-jump wprm-recipe-link wprm-jump-to-recipe-shortcode wprm-block-text-normal\">Aller \u00e0 la recette<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nous \u00e9tions des passionn\u00e9s de cin\u00e9ma, \u00e0 tel point que nous avons m\u00eame cr\u00e9\u00e9 notre propre cin\u00e9-club au lyc\u00e9e. Chaque semaine, nous d\u00e9pliions avec impatience l&#8217;\u00e9paisse section des annonces de films du journal local, \u00e0 la recherche minutieuse des nouveaux films sortant au centre-ville. Nos plans \u00e9taient arr\u00eat\u00e9s si un film prometteur \u00e9tait \u00e0 l&#8217;affiche dans l&#8217;une de nos salles \u00e0 l&#8217;ancienne pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9es, des endroits comme le Palace, le Capitol, le Seville, ou surtout le Loews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mais aussi enthousiastes que nous fussions \u00e0 propos des films, nos sorties comportaient un autre temps fort tout aussi important : le d\u00e9jeuner au <a href=\"https:\/\/forlunch.pro\/fr\/restaurants-murrays\/\" style=\"color: #1A5276;\">restaurant Murray&#8217;s<\/a>. Id\u00e9alement situ\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de ces cin\u00e9mas, Murray&#8217;s n&#8217;\u00e9tait pas seulement un restaurant ; c&#8217;\u00e9tait notre point de ralliement, presque une tradition en soi. Murray&#8217;s \u00e9tait bien plus que pratique. D\u00e8s l&#8217;instant o\u00f9 vous entriez, vous vous sentiez imm\u00e9diatement \u00e0 l&#8217;aise. L&#8217;endroit avait cette atmosph\u00e8re unique et chaleureuse, un lieu o\u00f9 vous pouviez prendre votre temps pour savourer votre repas, en appr\u00e9ciant chaque bouch\u00e9e, chaque conversation, chaque instant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">J&#8217;avais mes pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9s, des plats devenus indissociables de ces apr\u00e8s-midis. Le Hamburger Royal me revient en m\u00e9moire avec nettet\u00e9 : un hamburger ouvert accompagn\u00e9 de frites croustillantes ou de leurs m\u00e9morables pommes de terre rissol\u00e9es dor\u00e9es. Mais si je n&#8217;\u00e9tais pas d&#8217;humeur pour un hamburger, je savais que je pouvais compter sur leur filet de sole parfaitement tendre ou leur copieuse tourte au poulet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pourtant, certains jours, les plats du jour \u00e9taient irr\u00e9sistibles. En choisir un signifiait avoir un repas complet : un r\u00e9confortant bol de soupe maison, soit aux l\u00e9gumes soit la soupe du jour, des petits pains chauds ou leurs fameux muffins, au ma\u00efs ou au <a href=\"https:\/\/forlunch.pro\/fr\/muffins-au-son-des-restaurants-murray\/\" style=\"color: #1A5276;\">son<\/a>, et un dessert soigneusement r\u00e9pertori\u00e9 sur une petite carte plac\u00e9e \u00e0 chaque table. Choisir le dessert n&#8217;\u00e9tait jamais facile, surtout avec des options comme leur inoubliable tarte aux pommes, servie traditionnellement avec une tranche de cheddar fort, ou la chaleur r\u00e9confortante du <a href=\"https:\/\/forlunch.pro\/fr\/recette-du-pudding-aux-fruits-etuves-de-murrays-2\/\" style=\"color: #1A5276;\">pudding aux fruits cuit \u00e0 la vapeur<\/a> pendant les mois les plus froids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Le pudding au riz et \u00e0 la cr\u00e8me anglaise cuit au four : un d\u00e9licieux souvenir<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cependant, le dessert phare, celui auquel je reviens toujours en m\u00e9moire, \u00e9tait le pudding au riz et \u00e0 la cr\u00e8me anglaise de Murray&#8217;s.
